David Latner*

David has been practicing law for over twenty five years as general counsel for several technology companies, including BlueCat Networks, and Delrina, including a multi-year stint with tech-focused venture capital firms, family offices, and advises a select group of start-ups in the technology space.
David’s current practice focuses on technology licensing, corporate and commercial transactions, and legal strategy.
David is a board member of CAFCanada, and in his work with family offices, foundations, and high-networth individuals focuses on ways to increase the impact of philanthropic giving.

Gabriel Latner*
After getting an LLM and planning on becoming a professor, Gabriel spent his early career in a think tank writing legal briefs and academic articles. Somehow, he ended up suing fraudsters.
His practice focuses on commercial disputes, and appeals in all fields. He is available to assist counsel with all aspects of appellate litigation as co-counsel, locum, or as a private consultant.
Outside of his practice, Gabriel organizes the TLA’ s Appellate Mooting Program, and is an active volunteer as amicus counsel at the Court of appeal.
Trained in the UK and the US, and admitted in both New York and Ontario, Gabriel regularly consults on cross-border legal issues.
